Can I Use Pixabay Images For Print-On-Demand?

Print-on-demand is a great way to make money online, but can I use Pixabay images for print on demand?

The process of building up your designs and starting to earn substantial amounts of money can take some time.

You may find that using Pixabay images can help speed things up during the development of your design.

There are Free Images available on Pixabay, which can be used for commercial purposes.

Since its launch in 2010, the website has had millions of pictures, vector graphics, illustrations, audio clips, videos, and footage to select from.

Can I use Pixabay images for print on demand?

If you want to use a Pixabay image for print-on-demand for commercial use, or any other purpose in general, you may, but you must add your own value as well.

On their website, they state that ” All content (e.g. images, videos, music) on Pixabay can be used for free for commercial and noncommercial use across print and digital, except in the cases mentioned in “What is not allowed”.

And what’s not allowed are :

-Don’t redistribute or sell Pixabay content on other stock or wallpaper platforms.

-Don’t sell unaltered copies of content, e.g. don’t sell an exact copy of a stock photo as a poster, print, or on a physical product.

-Don’t portray identifiable people in a bad light or in an offensive way.

-Don’t use content with identifiable persons or brands to create a misleading association with a product or service.

The easiest way to do this is to add your own text to the design or arrange parts of it in a way that portrays a unique style to the image.

If you add more than just a filter, you should be fine. Add design and text into the image to make it more interesting and contribute as much as possible.

You can have plenty of designs created in no time if you can quickly edit images and add value. For example, take one pixabay image a day for twenty to thirty minutes and refine it to add value as necessary.

You must avoid images that are associated with identifiable people and don’t make it appear as though they are supporting your product.

If you want to turn this into something major, I would still recommend consulting a lawyer to make sure you understand the limitations.
